 New Customer Service Number for Sandestin owners and Cox Converter Boxes

  • Cox has desingated Mike Brown as the Account Manager for the Sandestin Community.  He can be reached at michael.brown3@cox.com or at (850) 424-5958 during business hours Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. When sending an email request, please include your name, Sandestin address, brief description of your issue/concern, and a contact phone number.
     
  • For technical issues after hours or on the weekends, please call 1-855-512-8876. Hours of operation for technical support at this number are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (CST) Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (CST) on Saturday.  When providing your address, please be sure to indicate you are in the Sandestin community. 
     
  • Cox is offering Sandestin owners free DTA’s as long as the bulk account contract is in place. Install of these boxes is also free for Sandestin owners.  If a call center representative advises differently or you see charges on your bill, please email  michael.brown3@cox.com .   
     
  • Remember, the new DTA box is only needed for those TV’s that are currently plugged directly into a wall outlet.  The box will enhance the basic channel lineup by providing more channels at no additional charge; however, it will not allow for transmission of any premium channels or sports packages.  If you currently have an HD converter box and utilize these types of services, you will not be able to switch it to a free DTA without it affecting the services.   
     
  • If your DTA is unplugged or loses power, there is a reset cycle it must go through before it will allow television transmission.  Please allow 3-5 mintues for this set up to complete.  Once complete, if there is no signal, please be sure your input is correct (press the input button on your remote to HDMI 1 or HDMI 2) and that your TV is on channel 3 or 4.  Often times if the DTA is unplugged to allow other equipment to be used (such as video games) the TV channel or input may have been changed. 
     
  • If you have your DTA mailed to you, please be sure to install it within 30 days or it will lose programming capability and will need to be replaced. If your DTA is unplugged for more than 30 consecutive days, it will lose programming.
     

Cox Communications provides basic cable television to the residents of Sandestin at a reduced rate per quarter. These monies are paid to the SOA with your quarterly assessment, if you have a home or condo. For details on the rate, please email soaaccounting@soaowners.com  Lot owners do not incur this fee.

Premium channels, high speed internet, and telephone service is also available by calling the SOA Cox Communications Representative at one of the Sales Support numbers listed below.  It is important that you speak with the a Cox Representative at one of these contact numbers regarding any type of upgrade as they are familiar with the SOA's account and will ensure that the billing for your additional services is handled correctly. Cox Communications will bill you directly for any additional services you order. When calling,  you will not need the account number, just your Sandestin address.  If the teleprompt requests your account number, please press zero (0) and you will be put into the queu for a representative.
