Cox Communications Fiber Project Update

 As of week of 11/13

  • Club Drive (3156-3167 and 3242-3249) should be complete this week.
  • Burnt Pine Cove will have temporary lines laid early to midweek for the extraction process to begin.
  • Burnt Pine from 3279-3294 along with Burnt Pine Circle in its entirety should have temporary lines completed this week for the core extraction process to begin.
  • Continue through early December:  Burnt Pine
  • 12/18/17: Inspiration, Fountains, Legend Creek: Construction should begin on or around
  • Should begin on or around 1/4/18: Village area to include Observation Point, Market Street, Pilot House, LeJardin, Grand Sandestin, LaSata, Bahia, Elation 
  • 1/12/18: Genoa, Ravenwood, Baytowne Ave East
  • Should begin on or around 1/26/18: -Island Green, Vineyard, Baytowne Ave East (down to 3951)

This schedle is tentative and may change based on weather and other unforeseen project delays.

At times during this upgrade you may experience daytime disruptions to your Cox services(s).  Please note, if work is scheduled in an area nearby your neighborhood, you may also experience disruptions as the Cox equipment service area may not co-inside with the boundaries of each neighborhood.   

Crews will make every effort to minimize disruption; however, service interruptions may vary based on your location.  All work should will be complete by 6 pm each day.  If you still experience service interruptions after this time, please reset your in-home equipment, and if services are still unavailable, please contact Cox Customer Support at 1-855-512-8876.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT COX COMMUNICATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY
Cox Communications provides basic cable television to the residents of Sandestin at a reduced rate per quarter. These monies are paid to the SOA with your quarterly assessment, if you have a home or condo. For details on the rate, please email soaaccounting@soaowners.com  Lot owners do not incur this fee.

Premium channels, high speed internet, and telephone service is also available by calling the SOA Cox Communications Representative at one of the Sales Support numbers listed above.  It is important that you speak with the a Cox Representative at one of these contact numbers regarding any type of upgrade as they are familiar with the SOA's account and will ensure that the billing for your additional services is handled correctly. Sandestin Owners will recieve a discount off of upgraded services, except telephone.  Cox Communications will bill you directly for any additional services you order. When calling,  you will not need the account number, just your Sandestin address.  If the teleprompt requests your account number, please press zero (0) and you will be put into the queu for a representative.

  • Cox has designated Mike Brown as the Account Manager for the Sandestin Community.  He can be reached at sandestin-support@cox.com or at (850) 314-8112 during business hours Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. When sending an email request, please include your name, Sandestin address, brief description of your issue/concern, and a contact phone number.
     
  • For technical issues after hours or on the weekends, please call 1-855-512-8876. Hours of operation for technical support at this number are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (CST) Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (CST) on Saturday.  When providing your address, please be sure to indicate you are in the Sandestin community.
